I have had this book for some time. I don't know what took me so long to read it. I absolutely fell in love with the story.

A one night stand that neither party can get over, eventually turns into so much more.
When they meet up 2 years later they still feel the connection. Reading their story through all their ups and downs was really touching.

I loved it. I read it in 1 day. Trust issues in relationships are a common problem and I love how Rhonda pushed them to keep working towards a better relationship!
Oh Jesse you are so hot. It makes you want to be Rhyann just so you can have Jesse touching you. Great read easy to escape in to their world.

I absolutely loved this book! I was drawn in from the very beginning. I love a good rock star romance and this one did not disappoint. Jesse and Rhyann's story was a roller coaster of emotion with a happy ending! I have found s new author and look forward to reading more of her books! 5 Stars!
This book was frustrating. I feel like if I write out all the reasons why, I may actually exceed the word count allowed for reviews, and I am not even sure if there is one. One reviewer mentioned that the first half of the book, was a good book, and perhaps it should have ended at around 50%. And she isn't exactly wrong. The first half is where Jesse and Ryhann meet, have their amazing night and then two years later, through manipulation on Jesse's part, they meet again several weeks after Rhyann has been fired from her job. Jesse sends a rep from his record studio to Ryhann's home to offer her a job as his personal assistant and after accepting the job (and moving into his house) they begin a working relationship that evolves into a friendship, which evolves into lovers. There is a little angst...Jesse is afraid to love again, tries to deny his attraction to Ryhann, using the tried and true plot device of bringing multiple woman in and out of the house that he now shares with Rhyann (which he later admits he ended up just talking to them and nothing sexual happened!!), Rhyann goes on a date with another guy, trying to move on from her infatuation with her "boss", Jesse. But, Of course, Jesse sees Rhyann trying to move on, and this is his "a ha" moment (well of course when someone is playing with your toy, you all of a sudden want to play with that toy right?!?! In fact you MUST have that toy because you just LOOOVVEE it so much and it's YOURS!!). There is just typical couple stuff and then they get married in Vegas where the set up for the remainder of the drama of the last 50% of the book is set up. Yes, there is still 50% of the book to go!!

And that entire 50% is one redundant argument based on Jesse's lie, and the apparent amnesia we the reader are supposed to have in order to get through the remainder of this book. In Vegas, Jesse runs into his ex girlfriend...his first love, the one that broke his heart and made him come up with his "one night only" rules...the same woman he was dating just a few months before he had his one night with Rhyann. and Rhyann catches them in an embrace with Amber, the ex, telling Jesse that she wants him back. Rhyann basically says Amber is her deal breaker, and wants Jesse to break all contact with her. and he PROMISES that she is cut out.He tells her no one is more important than her...And what does he do, he resumes talking to her when they return to Seattle, even going so far to leave the room when he texts her...shady much?!?! Guilty much?!?! The he gets angry with Rhyann for not trusting him..um, I'm sorry, you promised you wouldn't talk to this woman again and then snuck around behind her back to do just that. And every time Amber comes up, because despite his promise HE KEEPS TALKING TO HER EVEN WHEN RHYANN ASKS HIM NOT TO, Jesse yells at Rhyann, and then the ENTIRE freaking rest of the book, Jesse never fully acknowledges that he broke the promise. And Ryhann spends the rest of the book blaming herself and beating herself up for being weak and insecure and having trust issues. It is absolutely maddening. Jesse admits that Amber broke up with him b/c he was taking too long to get famous, and because she was hoping to use his fame to help her modeling career, she had to break up with him b/c she couldn't wait around for him anymore. She needed to try to make it on her own b/c you know, she isn't getting any younger. And his whole reason for basically lying and continuing to talk to Amber is because his friends are his family and his friends are important to him, and how he cannot cut friends out of his life, and Amber and he decided to be friends. First, your WIFE isn't asking you to cut out all friends, just one, who proves on multiple occasions to be purposely trying to cause problems in your relationship in a VERY OBVIOUS WAY with zero respect for your WIFE and two...Um I'm sorry, but this awful person who screwed you over and broke up with you and only comes around to screw up your new relationship and only ever showed interest in your fame is the kind of person you want to keep in your life OVER YOUR WIFE??? And Jesse acts like an entitled spoiled idiot so often, making Rhyann feel like crap, but she never actually calls him out on his promise to her or the obvious issues that i just raised, and that perhaps if he has said something rather than sneaking around, they could have talked about it like rational people. But then, I guess we wouldn't have had the entire last 50% of the book.

Oh, and everyone who keeps quoting the synopsis of the book where it mentions that Rhyann always did what she's expected to do...um what?? Again, its like the author says something then totally forgets she said it or expects that we the reader will forget because no where in this entire book is there any indication that Rhyann has ever done that. She never went to college, worked as an admin assistant, and has a strained relationship with her mother (who never even comes to her wedding, well the second not drunk in vegas wedding). Just because she goes home with a guy for one night, which she admits, she has never done, doesn't mean that her entire life has been about pleasing people or towing the line.

I feel like I may be a little all over the place, and that's mostly because the second 50% of this book is all over the place. And I think it's in an attempt to draw us in, make us have the "feels" and connect with these characters emotionally and feel for them, and then be oh so happy when they get their happy ending. But, as a reader, I am totally offended that we are supposed to let Jesse get away with his lie (or broken promise) and then just be okay with Rhyann blaming herself for everything. I don't think you'll hate this book, but I do think you'll be scratching your head at some of the inconsistencies and a bit angry at how weak the female is written. The happy ending is happy, so I guess there is that, but the road there leaves me with not so great feelings about either character.
If you love your alpha male to be a sexy rockstar sex god! This is the book for you! This book is sexy and raw! I couldnt put it down! Another 5 star book writen by Rhonda James! So far ive loved all of her books! So hurry up and fall in love with rhyann Michaels and the sexy rock star Jesse Montgomery!
